gokasho bay hole 1The ideal way to approach this shot is to use a driver that gives a high power. You want to get into the fairway, particularly to the top of the fairway. It would be great if you could get the ball rolling where the fairway curves to the left.

In the second shot, you can aim for bouncing the ball before the rough towards the pin. This will make it really convenient to get towards the pin in the final shot.

gokasho bay hole 2This is probably the easiest hole in the tournament. You can hit the ball towards the pin not just on the flat surface but on the rough and the bunker as well.

Gokasho Bay – Hole #3 (Par 5)

golf clash pacific cup tournament hole 6 gokasho bay shot 1You want to play your drive with a Power I Ball (Rookie) or Power II Ball (Pro&Expert). You want to use maximum sidespin to the left as well as maximum front spin to get as far down the fairway as you can to get a proper position for your second shot.

This is important and the distance here is vital to prevent you getting stuck in between clubs!

golf clash pacific cup tournament hole 6 gokasho bay shot 2For your second shot you’re now forced to do a sand bump or a rough bump, unless you did pull off a crazy long drive in your first shot.

It’s not that bad and you have a decent chance to approach the pin and getting your albatross but make sure that you are good with your wind adjustment or you might send your ball either into the water, make it stick in the sand or maybe even just go over the island and sink your shot! No need to adjust any extra for elevation in your second shot.

Gokasho Bay – Hole #4 (Par 3)

Gokasho Bay - Hole #3 (Par 5)

For this hole, we are going to use a club that gives at least 4.5 bars backspin. The shot has to be played downhill. This means that the ball will be affected by wind aggressively.

Aim towards the left of the pin as the green slopes from the left to the right.

hole 5 gokashoThe perfect way to go about playing this hole is to use the route on the right. Go for a club with 220 yards of Power stats and use a Power 3 ball.

For the second shot, you can go with a club with more distance. Adjust the settings as mentioned in the table and you will be good to go. Do not use any elevation for this shot.

Gokasho Bay – Hole #6 (Par 5)

Drive
↩️ Spin Max Top Max Top
⛳️ Overadjust 10% 10%
🏐 Ball Rookie: Marlin / Titan c Pro & Expert: Titan / Berserker Master: Kingmaker / Berserker
🏑 Club(s) Rookie: Sniper / Viper 6/P Pro & Expert: Sniper / Cataclysm Master: Sniper / Cataclysm  Viper (Rookie), Sniper (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

This is a fairly difficult Par 5 with lots of bumps and uneven surfaces. For the first shot, you would want to use the driver with as much power as possible to gain maximum distance on the fairway. I would recommend using a Power 1 ball if you have crosswind or headwind.

In your second shot, you can now approach the pin directly with a Sniper. The guideline will help you get closer to the pin easily.

Gokasho Bay – Hole #7 (Par 3)

Drive
↩️ Spin Max Back
⛳️ Overadjust 10%
🏐 Ball Rookie: Quasar

Pro & Expert: Katana / Kingmaker Master: Kingmaker / Wind 5

🏑 Club(s) Rookie: Backbone / Viper Pro & Expert: Sniper / Goliath Master: Sniper / Quarterback / The Rocke

Playing this hole becomes a lot easy when you know the adjustments well. Use maximum backspin and try to avoid the bunker. Get the ball to bounce on the fairway. If the adjustments are correct, you could get a Hole-in-one.

Gokasho Bay – Hole #8 (Par 4)

golf clash pacific cup tournament hole 7 gokasho bay shot 1The drive for this hole in the 9-Hole Cup Tournament is fairly easy and can be done with any ball (except the standard one because you need sidespin).

Simply aim to bounce over the bunker and add 4-5 bars of topspin along with all the sidespin to the right that you have and do your perfect shot. This will land you in the best position to approach the pin in your second shot.

golf clash pacific cup tournament hole 7 gokasho bay shot 2For your second shot, you should approach the pin directly and feel secure about the amount of backspin you should use.

When bouncing the fairway you should be fine using around 2-3 bars of backspin (maybe one bar extra in case of heavy tailwind) and adjust the sidespin so you will aim straight for the pin.

This should give you a decent chance for an eagle or at least the secure birdie.

Gokasho Bay – Hole #9 (Par 5)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin 2-4 Top 4 Down
⛳️ Overadjust 10% 0%
🏐 Ball Rookie: Marlin / Titan Pro & Expert: Katana / Berserker Master: Kingmaker / Berserker
🏑 Club(s) Rookie: Big Dawg Pro & Expert: Big Dawg / Cataclysm Master: Cataclysm  Rookie: Big Dawg Pro & Expert: Big Dawg / Cataclysm Master: Cataclysm

With the first shot, you should aim to get as close to the rough as possible. Use 3-5 bars topspin and aim for the ball guideline to be straight down the fairway.

For the 2nd shot, aim for the top right corner. 3rd shot will be with a short iron towards the pin. Use the short iron that you feel the most comfortable with. Don’t use any spin for this shot as it’s easier to control.

  1. Hello there,
What is meant by Silver State?
Is state is as in one of the US states “the silver country” or it’s meant to describe a condition “the silver condition”?
    Kindly advise!

  2. On the St. Patrick Tournament 2020.

    I think there’s a mistake on Drumore Links Hole #6 (Par 5)
    It should be 20% 1st shot and 20% 2nd shot (not 20/-10)
    Can you confirm?
    Thanks

  3. Love your site. Wish I could print them but the ads are just too much. Thanks for the info though. I’d rather pay you and lose the ads.

    • Thanks 🙂 I wanted to have this info out for everyone for free rather than charging for it, so ads are a part. You can use an ad blocker if you want to 😉
You can just print this page in your browser, should work just fine without paying

    • When playing downhill you need to adjust wind more as the ball has mor time to get affected by the wind. If you would normally adjust 2 rings, here you need to adjust 2.2 rings 🙂

  4. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this text guide. I have never had it so straightforward, comfortable and thrilled playing in a tourney, like I did today.

  5. How are you doing big boss! I would love, love, to see wind charts like that with adjustment (Ball Wind Resistance, Playing Downhill, etc.) for all the shots. Thank you for your service!

  6. Thanks big boss for the Vineyard tournament text guide! Does Tommy Golf use it to prepare his YouTube tutorials? I could not help but notice the uncanny similarity of his vineyard rookie tutorial, which came out later, including the use of similar phraseology to your work.

    Kind regards.

  7. Sequoia Creek Hole #9 (Par 5) Drive straight through the trees over the bunker onto the Right Fairway and you will find yourself with and Albatross chance and a guaranteed Eagle

    • I double checked, everything is there… “You really want to play the drive on the left side to get into a position that can get you to the green in your second shot. The islands looks intimidating but it’s actually not that difficult to land on. You need to bounce over that bunker there with a small backspin to make the ball stop and good sidespin to the left to get a nice line. In your second shot you can now approach the green but aiming for the albatross here is really difficult as the fairway slopes at the middle point giving the ball a different direction from just hitting one inch more to the right or left. Aim a little to the right of the pin as the green slopes down towards the pin, this will be better when you want to get lucky for the albatross. Use some topspin to get uphill here.”

  8. Hole #5 and Hole #6 are switched in the tournament. It messed me up a bit on qualifying. Other than that, I appreciate everything you do : ) .

  9. I’m “assuming” this is for Pro/Expert, from the middle tee box, because I didn’t see any mention of which division this is for.
