Without wasting any more time, let’s jump right into the text guides for the Namhae Cliffs 9-Hole Cup.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #1 (Par 4)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin 4-5 Top; Max Left 4-5 Top; Max Left
⛳️ Overadjust 10% 20%
🏐 Ball Marlin, Titan (Rookie), Titan , Berserker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Thorn, Hornet (Rookie/Pro/Expert) Thorn, Hornet (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

Black line:

In case of head wind or tail wind, it would be wise to take a conservative approach in playing the shot. You can use 4 to 6 bars of topspin with maximum sidespin to the left. Adjust the drive with approx 10% and you are good to go. In the second shot, keep the overadjustment at 20%.

White line:

For this shot, go for a power 3 ball and use at least 5 bars of topspin. Overadjust the shot at approx. 10% and you will be fine.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #2 (Par 3)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin 1 Back
⛳️ Overadjust 15%
🏐 Ball Basic, Marlin (Rookie),  Navigator, Kingmaker (Pro, Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Hornet, Thorn (Rookie) Grizzly, Goliath, B52, (Pro, Expert)

For this shot, make sure to use a shot iron. For tailwind, use 1 bar of backspin. If it is a headwind, keep the spin adjustment at 0.5 bars topspin. Overjustment has to be kept at 15% and aim to the right.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #3 (Par 5)

↩️ Spin 4-6 Top
⛳️ Overadjust 20% 10%
🏐 Ball Titan (Rookie), Titan, Kingmaker (Pro, Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Big Dawg (Rookie); Sniper, Big Dawg, Cataclysm (Pro/Expert)

Black line:

Use 4 to 6 bars of topspin as suitable for the wind angle. Go for a driver with minimum 225 yards stat.

For the second shot, use a wood club with a minimum of 175 yards stat. Big Dawg or Cataclysm would be great. Aim for the rough on the left side of the green.

White line:

The drive for this shot will be the same as the black line. In case of headwind, you will have to overadjust at approx. 20% for the drive and underadjust the second shot at -10%. There will be a third shot with this approach. Overadjust the shot at 30% and you will have a great chance at getting the ball into the hole.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #4 (Par 3)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin 1-3 Back, 1-2 Left
⛳️ Overadjust 20%
🏐 Ball Marlin,(Rookie); Katana, Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Backbone (Rookie) Goliath, B52 (Pro/Expert)

Black line:

This is one of the toughest Par 3s to play in the Namhae Cliffs 9-Hole Cup. With 20% overadjustment, you can get the ball bouncing in the fairway over to the green. Just be careful and keep away from the right side of the green, else you may get the ball rolling down to the rough.

White line:

The ideal way to approach this shot is to use a Sniper or any other wood club that gives you good ball guide and accuracy. Using a driver can make the rough-bump not so difficult to handle.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #5 (Par 4)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin Max Top; Max Left; 50% Curl Left
⛳️ Overadjust 10% 10%
🏐 Ball Titan, Marlin (Rookie), Katana, Quasar, Berserker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Hornet, Thorn (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

Black line:

For the drive, choose a driver that has a minimum of 225 yards of power stat. Use maximum left spin along with 3 to 5 bars of topspin. Try to get the ball to the top right corner. For the second shot, use a short iron to get the ball towards the pin.

White line:

If there is a tailwind, aim for the green. Use maximum left spin and 4 to 6 bars of backspin. You can get the ball in the green or you can land on the rough or in the bunker. Just aim it right and you will be fine.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #6 (Par 5)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin Max Top + Overpower Max Back
⛳️ Overadjust 10% 10% (40% 3rd Shot)
🏐 Ball Titan or Kingmaker
🏑 Club(s) Big Topper (Rookie/Pro); Thor’s Hammer (Expert) Thorn (Rookie/Pro), Hornet (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

golf clash community tournament 2020 text guide hole 9 driveThe drive will make or break it here and you need to bounce it over the island with all the topspin you have (use a driver like the Big Topper here!).

You also need to use about 75% overpower in this shot to get the distance to make it over to that island – that’s the only way to get an eagle in this Par 5 in the Namhae Cliffs 9-Hole Cup!

golf clash community tournament 2020 text guide hole 9 second shotIf you do now approach the green, you will play massively uphill so reduce your wind adjustment by 40%! You need to use a club with a lot of backspin to make sure to make it slow down enough on the green for a solid chance to get your albatross and if you made it here you will have your eagle secured.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #7 (Par 4)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin no spin Max Back
⛳️ Overadjust 10 % 0%
🏐 Ball Marlin/Titan (Rookie/Pro); Titan/Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro); Thor’s Hammer (Expert) Thorn(Rookie/Pro), Hornet (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

golf clash community tournament 2020 text guide hole 8 driveHere you can either go risky and go for that eagle by overpowering your drive or play it easiert by bouncing over the rough – the more distance you get with your drive the higher the chances that you will get the eagle.

With tailwind, you can use max topspin and overpower to even reach the green with your drive but the fairway gets narrow so everything else than a perfect max overpower shot will likely get you either into the rough or the bunker so rather play medium overpower without topspin and play it clean in your second shot.

Your second shot will then approach the pin directly with either the Thorn or Hornet to have that massive backspin.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #8 (Par 3)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin 4-5 Top; max Left + medium curl max Back
⛳️ Overadjust 10 % 10%
🏐 Ball Marlin, Navigator (Rookie); Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Goliath (Rookie); Goliath, Sniper (Pro/Expert) Goliath (Rookie); Goliath, Sniper (Pro/Expert)

This is one of the toughest par 3s in the Namhae Cliff 9-Hole Cup. Your aim here should be to get the ball to the green. Pushing too hard can result in the ball going into the water. In tailwind, use 2 bars of backspin. In headwind, use 1 bar. For the second shot, play with a wood club and aim straight at the pin. Use 5 bars of backspin in tailwind and 3.5 bars backspin in crosswind. Do not use any spin in headwind.

Namhae Cliffs Hole #9 (Par 5)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩️ Spin 3 Top, 3 Back
⛳️ Overadjust 20 % 10%
🏐 Ball Titan (Rookie), Titan/Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Big Dawg/Quarterback (Rookie), Quarterback/Sniper (Pro/Expert)

Black line:

This is a very tough drive to play in this tournament. You need good accuracy and ball guide to play this shot right. The ideal way to approach this shot is to aim for the top right corner. Make the ball bounce on the fairway to make it eventually roll up towards the pin. For the second shot, choose a club with a minimum of 170 yards stat.

White line:

If there is crosswind or tailwind, use a club with a minimum of 225 yards of power stat. Go with 4.5 bars of topspin and maximum left spin. For the second shot, get the ball bouncing on the island towards the pin.

Blue line:

If there is a straight tailwind, you can opt for a PowerS ball and get as close to the green as possible.

  1. Hello there,
What is meant by Silver State?
Is state is as in one of the US states “the silver country” or it’s meant to describe a condition “the silver condition”?
    Kindly advise!

  2. On the St. Patrick Tournament 2020.

    I think there’s a mistake on Drumore Links Hole #6 (Par 5)
    It should be 20% 1st shot and 20% 2nd shot (not 20/-10)
    Can you confirm?

  3. Love your site. Wish I could print them but the ads are just too much. Thanks for the info though. I’d rather pay you and lose the ads.

    • Thanks 🙂 I wanted to have this info out for everyone for free rather than charging for it, so ads are a part. You can use an ad blocker if you want to 😉
You can just print this page in your browser, should work just fine without paying

    • When playing downhill you need to adjust wind more as the ball has mor time to get affected by the wind. If you would normally adjust 2 rings, here you need to adjust 2.2 rings 🙂

  4. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this text guide. I have never had it so straightforward, comfortable and thrilled playing in a tourney, like I did today.

  5. How are you doing big boss! I would love, love, to see wind charts like that with adjustment (Ball Wind Resistance, Playing Downhill, etc.) for all the shots. Thank you for your service!

  6. Thanks big boss for the Vineyard tournament text guide! Does Tommy Golf use it to prepare his YouTube tutorials? I could not help but notice the uncanny similarity of his vineyard rookie tutorial, which came out later, including the use of similar phraseology to your work.

    Kind regards.

  7. Sequoia Creek Hole #9 (Par 5) Drive straight through the trees over the bunker onto the Right Fairway and you will find yourself with and Albatross chance and a guaranteed Eagle

    • I double checked, everything is there… “You really want to play the drive on the left side to get into a position that can get you to the green in your second shot. The islands looks intimidating but it’s actually not that difficult to land on. You need to bounce over that bunker there with a small backspin to make the ball stop and good sidespin to the left to get a nice line. In your second shot you can now approach the green but aiming for the albatross here is really difficult as the fairway slopes at the middle point giving the ball a different direction from just hitting one inch more to the right or left. Aim a little to the right of the pin as the green slopes down towards the pin, this will be better when you want to get lucky for the albatross. Use some topspin to get uphill here.”

  8. Hole #5 and Hole #6 are switched in the tournament. It messed me up a bit on qualifying. Other than that, I appreciate everything you do : ) .

  9. I’m “assuming” this is for Pro/Expert, from the middle tee box, because I didn’t see any mention of which division this is for.
