Easter Classic Tournament (March 29th, 2021)

Another 9-Hole Cup is approaching for this week and it’s all about the course of Sakura Hills. This is going to get interesting 🙂

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 1 driveWith your drive you want to gain as much distance as you can get to get into a good position for your second shot and the best way to do that is bouncing over that bunker by aiming right in front of it and using some topspin to make sure you will bounce far enough.

Add also as much sidespin to the right as possible as this will get you closer to the green and give you an easier second shot.

[adinserter block=”2″]

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 1 second shotIn your second shot you can already approach the pin directly with a short iron club with a good ball guideline and you have a very good chance to get your eagle here to make a good start in the Easter Classic Tournament.

Bounce directly on the green with about 3 bars of backspin to get the right speed and have the secure birdie if you miss the pin.

🏐 Ball Marlin (Rookie), Navigator (Rookie/Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Backbone (Rookie) Sniper 8+ (Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 2This Par 3 here in the Easter Classic Tournament is not difficult but with the sloping around the pin, it’s also not a consistent Par 3 to get a hole-in-one.

Use some backspin and bounce first on the fairway in front of the green and aim slightly to the left of the pin as the green slopes down a little bit and mind the extra wind adjustment of 20% because playing downhill.

🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile (Rookie), Big Topper (Pro/Expert) Backbone (Rookie), Big Dawg (Rookie), Grizzly (Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 3 driveYou need a Power III ball here that will make it a lot easier to play that drive, especially when you want to make the double bounce over the rough line as you can see in the image. I like this version more than simply overpowering that shot to the limit.

Add all topspin and sidespin to the right and you will be fine, this looks riskier than it is if you adjust the wind correctly and a lot less squishy than the overpower shot.

[adinserter block=”4″]

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 3 second shotWith a good long iron and a solid drive, you have now a decent chance to get the albatross and a secure eagle here in the Easter Classic Tournament.

Using a wood club here is really hard because you probably will come in far too hot and go over the green so rather go with the long iron version bouncing two times in front of the green and giving the ball the right direction. The green has a small hill around the pin and when you’re close to the pin you will get your eagle.

Sakura Hills Hole #4 (Par 3)

Drive
↩ī¸ Spin none
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10%
🏐 Ball Marlin (Rookie), Quasar (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Backbone (Rookie) Sniper (Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 4I know that island spot really invites to bounce here but the better way is to bounce in front of the bunker as this will let you adjust the ball guideline a little better.

Aim right in front of the rough line there so your second bounce will be on the green and the green slopes towards the pin so adjusting speed here is not that important as the green will slope you down perfectly fine.

This hole doesn’t require any spin adjustment at all, simply aim the ball guideline into the right direction and you can get the hole-in-one here in the Easter Classic Tournament.

Sakura Hills Hole #5 (Par 4)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩ī¸ Spin Max Top 2 Top
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 20% -20%
🏐 Ball Navigator (Rookie), Quasar (Rookie), Katana (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) Sniper 6+ (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 5 driveThe drive here looks scarier than it is, actually it’s the easiest drive here in the Easter Classic Tournament. 🙂

You only need to aim straight through the middle here and do your wind adjustment right and use all the topspin you have to get in a good position for the second shot.

[adinserter block=”6″]

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 5 second shotAs easy as the drive is, as tough you will have it with the second shot.

The rough bump is the best option you have here but you really need to adjust your wind right! Keep in mind that you play uphill so you need to adjust 20% less than you normally would!

Add a little topspin to get the right speed and the better your ball guideline the higher your chances for the eagle here.

Sakura Hills Hole #6 (Par 5)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩ī¸ Spin Max Top; 2 Left 2-3 Back
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10% 10%
🏐 Ball Katana (Rookie), Titan (Rookie/Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) Big Dawg (Rookie), Sniper 6+ (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 6 driveThe best way to play this drive here is to go left of the trees and bounce over the rough and the bunker, otherwise, you really need a hero shot with overpower and curl and that is less consistent.

This looks more dangerous than it is and if you don’t mind the trees it’s actually a normal drive with a bounce over the rough 🙂

[adinserter block=”7″]

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 6 second shotFor the second shot, I recommend you to do a rough bump as well, it’s the most consistent way to play this Par 5 and get on the green in 2 shots. You can also bounce over the water but that also requires curl and has the risk of really getting you into trouble.

Aim for the pin and use the rough spot next to the bunker with a wood club that has the distance and add some backspin here as well and you can even get the albatross.

Sakura Hills Hole #7 (Par 3)

Drive
↩ī¸ Spin 1 Right; 50% Curl Right
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10%
🏐 Ball Quasar (Rookie), Katana (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Backbone (Rookie), Goliath (Rookie) Sniper (Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 7This is the nasty Par 3 in the Easter Classic Tournament and I really hope we will never see that for the Golden Shot… You bounce once on the small fairway spot and every little change in the landing position changes the direction of your ball dramatically, so adjusting wind here will be super important.

This is very likely not going to be a hole-in-one.

[adinserter block=”8″]

Sakura Hills Hole #8 (Par 4)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩ī¸ Spin Max Top; Max Right 1 Back
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10% -10%
🏐 Ball Quasar (Rookie), Katana (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile (Rookie), Quarterback (Rookie/Pro/Expert), The Rock (Pro/Expert) Thorne (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 8 driveHere you need to get far enough down the fairway to actually make it around the corner or you will have no chance to go for the green in your second shot.

It’s not a difficult drive but try to stay close to the right side of the fairway and use sidespin to the right as well to make sure you won’t get too far away from a good shooting point.

[adinserter block=”9″]

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 8 second shotAgain, it’s time for a rough bump as the pin is very close to the front edge of the green and there’s no way to play it other than that that will give you good chances for the eagle here.

You can potentially use the Thorn here with loads of backspin but I find that really squishy as the ball will bounce up and down and is hard to predict, it probably won’t get you the eagle but if you don’t want to risk the rough bump that’s also a way to play it.

Sakura Hills Hole #9 (Par 5)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩ī¸ Spin Max Top; Overpower 2-3 Back
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10% 0%
🏐 Ball Titan (Rookie), Katana (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Apocalypse (Pro/Expert) Backbone (Rookie), Cataclysm (Pro/Expert)

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 9 driveThis is a really long Par 5 and there’s pretty much no chance to go for the albatross here.

Iny our drive you want to go as far down the fairway as possible to gain distance.

Now use overpower as much as you think you an handle – you can see that the fairway is narrow and you can get into the rough if you don’t hit at least good here and going for the green in 2 shots is impossible anyway, so I recommend you to go with something like half a ball of overpower.

[adinserter block=”10″]

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 9 second shotIn your second shot, you will go for that fairway spot on the right side to get into a good position for your third shot.

It’s not a complicated shot but you need to use some backspin probably (unless you’ve been quite short in the drive) to prevent that you will get into the rough there.

golf clash sakura hill 9 hole cup sakura hills hole 9 third shotIn your third shot, you can now do a rough bump with no spin adjustment at all and aim with your ball guideline straight for the pin.

You can get the eagle here actually pretty consistently and the birdie is a sure thing.

I really recommend playing this Par 5 in the Easter Classic Tournament that way instead of pushing the limits here trying to reach for the green in 2 shots and very likely (80% of the times) mess it up and end with on par 😉
