golf clash highlands tournament text guides greenoch point hole 2 driveI’m not a huge fan to use the aggressive line here powering all through the green with the drive, because it’s risky and you don’t need to do that right here in the second hole of the Winter Major Tournament.

Rather go for the rough bounce on the fairway island and you’re in a good position to have a decent chance to still go for the eagle here with a good amount of topspin and sidespin to the right.

golf clash highlands tournament text guides greenoch point hole 2 second shotFor the second shot use a short iron with a good ball guideline and bounce on the fairway with the second bounce on the green.

There’s no need to add any additional spin when you play it like that but make sure to adjust the wind right, you still need to adjust some extra here, even though you play in medium distance.

golf clash highlands tournament text guides greenoch point hole 7This is a really weird Par 3 in the Winter Major Tournament, especially because of the distance and also the way to play it (yes, you need a driver here).

The hole-in-one is actually impossible here, period. You need to slice around the slope to get on the green and this will get you somewhere near the pin to get your birdie, but that’s it. Use a little topspin and sidespin to the right and adjust the wind very carefully here, every inch can change the direction of your ball significantly.

Rookie/Pro/Expert: This is also one of the trickier holes in the Winter Major Tournament and absolutely no hole you can assume you get an albatross and a birdie is rather what you will get in most cases.

No matter what division, you will always play on the left side because the right side is making your second shot so hard that it’s not worth even trying.

In your drive you want to bounce over the rough and prevent getting into the rough by adding some topspin, about 3-4 bars, and 3+ bars of sidespin to the right. It’s important to have a Power III ball for your second hit.

In your second hit, you will bounce over the rough and get on the green and also add about 2-3 bars of topspin along with all the sidespin to the right that you can get. You can add some curl but in my opinion, this is not worth the risk and a secure eagle is better than messing up when you did the drive right.

Do not bounce over the bunker here and rather use maximum sidespin to the left and play it like shown in the image by using the right fairway spot.

It’s actually quite tricky to get the hole-in-one here in the Winter Major Tournament with this Par 3 so rather play it safe than sorry and go for the birdie here.

Don’t forget that you need to add 10% extra for playing downhill with your wind adjustment or you might easily come too short.

golf clash community tournament 2020 text guide hole 6 driveYou can reach the green in two shots in this hole in the Winter Major Tournament and you will need to make some good distance with your drive so use the driver with the highest distance here.

Don’t do too much frontspin and use some sidespin if there’s wind from the side to prevent leaving the fairway. This is essential to reach for the green in your second shot. Also mind adding 10% to wind adjustment.

golf clash community tournament 2020 text guide hole 6 second shotThe second shot will be a rough bounce and you also need to reduce wind adjustment by 20% because you play massively uphill here. I’d add about 1 bar of backspin to not come in too hot but also adding no spin will get you on the green and stay there. Still, you might be approaching the pin directly so the backspin is useful here.

Here the wind situation will decide what line you will play.

Headwind (Blue Line): The red line is easier when approaching the pin but with headwind you’re forced to play your drive on the left side.

Use all the tospin you have for the drive combined with all the sidespin to the right that you have.

For your second hit you want to do a fairway bump right after the bunker and use all the backspin and sidespin to the right you have to make the ball slope towards the pin (see in the image). This is a classical birdie situation and the best you can do if you start off with headwind.

All Other (Red Line): Use 2-3 bars of topspin paired with 2-3 bars of sidespin to the right for your drive to make your ball bounce over the bunker. Don’t use more topspin or you risk rolling into the rough! You also need to overpower your shot SLIGHTLY.

From here you have a great possibility to approach the pin directly like you can see in the image above with 2-3 bars of backspin to prevent coming in too hot and add like 2-3 bars of sidespin to the right as well.

golf clash highlands tournament text guides greenoch point hole 5 To be honest, getting a hole-in-one here is extremely lucky as you will slope around the corner and then down towards the pin.

Still, using the correct wind adjustment plus position can get you close to the pin and make sure you will get that birdie. Still a difficult hole.

🏐 Ball Marlin/Quasar (Rookie), Katana/Kingmaker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Big Topper (Rookie), Big Topper/Thors Hammer (Pro/Expert)

Rookie/Pro/Expert: This is actually a really straightforward hole and it doesn’t require a really fancy ball, all you need is one that has some sidespin.

You want to bounce the ball over the bunker and add at least 3-4 bars of topspin and 2-3 bars of sidespin (more is also okay) to the right as possible to reach the green. It’s hard to get a hole-in-one here but if you make it on the green with your drive you will be easily two below par and at a good standing in the tournament. If you have strong headwind you should play it on the right side and make it on the fairway next to the bunker and then go for the green.

golf clash highlands tournament text guides greenoch point hole 6 driveI also recommend you to go on the left side here, although the right side looks tempting. You need to cut that corner and use half a ball of curl here as well, combined with some topspin and sidespin to the right.

Nothing fancy, simply do your wind adjustment with a little extra and stay away from that rough and you will have a decent Par 5 here in the Winter Major Tournament.

[adinserter block=”7″]

golf clash highlands tournament text guides greenoch point hole 6 second shotThe second shot is the make-or-break shot here and you can make it on the green or close to it when you play it right, but you need to get around those trees.

Play with maximum distance of your wood club between the bunker and the trees and use all the curl to the right you have and you will get the ball on the green and into a good spot for the eagle. The albatross here is nearly impossible, so rather play it safe than sorry!
