Maple Bay 9-Hole Cup (January 14th, 2021)
We’re starting the new year off with a fresh tournament in Golf Clash and it’s the Maple Bay 9-Hole Cup featuring holes from Maple Bay courses.
To give you some extra help, here are my text guides. ๐

Maple Bay Hole #1 (Par 4)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 1 Left; 2-3 Back | |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 15% (Rookie), 20% (Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Ball | Marlin (Rookie) Katana (Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Club(s) | Backbone, Grizzly (Rookie) | Sniper 4+ (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |
You want to use the right side of the fairway here and aim directly for the pin after you added the sidespin to the left, as you can see in the image.
This is actually a very easy hole in the Maple Bay 9-Hole Cup and getting a hole-in-one isn’t that hard if you can do the over-adjustment right for playing downhill here.

Maple Bay Hole #2 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 3 Top ,2 Left | 3 Back, Max Right |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 20% | 0% |
๐ Ball | Katana (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Club(s) | Quarterback/Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | Viper (Rookie), Sniper 6+ (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |
The drive here looks a little bit intimidating at first, but you can easily do it with a driver like the Quarterback that gives you a good ball guideline and topspin that will let you easily get over that bunker and far down the fairway for a good position for your second shot.
Don’t use too much topspin or you might get into the rough there!
[adinserter block=”10″]
In your second shot you need to play close to the tree to get the ball on the green.
You need some solid backspin here to prevent coming in too hot and all the sidespin you can get to get the ball as close to the pin on the green. Don’t think you can get the albatross here, that’s extremely hard here.
Maple Bay Hole #3 (Par 3)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | Max Back, 1 Right | |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 20% | |
๐ Ball | Marlin (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert | |
๐ Club(s) | Guardian (Rookie) | Sniper (Pro/Expert) |
The best way to play this Par 3 in the Maple Bay 9-Hole Cup will be using a wood club that will give you a lot of backspin. The reason is that the fairway in front of the green is really bumpy and you can’t consistently approach the pin with bouncing multiple times in front of the green.
Rather bounce it once just before the fringe and use all the backspin you have to get the ball into the direction of the pin. It’s not easy to get the hole-in-one here but this way will give you the best chances.

Maple Bay Hole #4 (Par 4)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 4 Top, 2 Left | 2 Top, Max Left |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 10% | 5% |
๐ Ball | Basic, Titan (Rookie), Katana, Berserker (Pro/Expert | |
๐ Club(s) | Backbone, Sniper (Rookie), Grizzly, Sniper (Pro/Expert) | Backbone, Sniper (Rookie), Grizzly, Sniper (Pro/Expert) |
There are two ways to play this hole. The first one is a little conservative method through which you can give yourself a chance for eagle. The further up you go on the fairway, the flatter the ball guideline tends to be. This will offer you a firm spot for the second shot.
For the second shot, you might have to face a rough bump to the pin. I recommend using a long iron that can give you perfect accuracy. This can surely help you in getting the shot to drop for an eagle.
[adinserter block=”9″]
The other way to play this shot is to go in a little aggressive. You can opt for the Bersheker for this shot. The spin value for this shot remains the same as the drive shot for the previous method. Keep the adjustment at 10% and do not use any curls. Just try to hit perfect and you might score an eagle for this hole.
Maple Bay Hole #5 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 2 Left, 1 Top | 4 Back |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 10% | 10% |
๐ Ball | Titan (Rookie), Titan, Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Club(s) | ย Big Dawg (Rookie), Guardian/Sniper (Pro/Expert) | ย Big Dawg (Rookie), Guardian/Sniper (Pro/Expert) |
For the drive, it is wise to go for a Titan ball, a power 3 ball in particular. Get the ball guideline pointing down the fairway. You want to get the ball down to the fairway as much as possible. If you feel that you are comfortable with a power 4 or power 5 ball, you can certainly do that. Keep in mind that this shot depends on a lot of curl.
[adinserter block=”3″]
For the second shot, you want to aim for the top of the green. Use 4 – 6 bars of backspin to the left of the pin. Overadjust the shot with approx. 10% and you will be good to go.
Maple Bay Hole #6 (Par 3)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 2-3 Top | Max Right; 1-2 Top |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 10% | -10% |
๐ Ball | Titan (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Kingmaker (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Quarterback (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | Big Dawg (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |
Don’t do any fancy trick shots here, you want to get your ball as close to the rough here as possible and there’s no way you can get it over that without using heavy overpower (risky!).
The reason why you also don’t want to play the right side is that you would need a lot of curl and it’s less consistent than simply playing the straightforward route.
[adinserter block=”3″]
For the second shot, you want to attempt the green and you need distance to do that, so take the wood with the highest distance (like The Big Dawg) to get this done.
Use all the sidespin to the right and a little topspin and make your second bounce on the fairway and this will get you on the green or very close to it so you have a great chance to get the eagle here. The albatross is extremely hard due to the lack of sidespin that you would need and curl is extremely risky here.
Still, quite an easy hole in the Maple Bay 9-Hole Cup ๐
Maple Bay Hole #7 (Par 4)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 3 Top, 3 Left | 4 Back |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 10% | 10% |
๐ Ball | Marlin/Quasar (Rookie), Quasar/Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Club(s) | ย Thorn/Backbone (Rookie), Thorn/Saturn (Pro/Expert) | ย Big Dawg (Rookie), Guardian/Sniper (Pro/Expert) |
In this par 4, you have a good chance for eagle. I recommend using a power 1 ball for Rookie division and power 3+ ball for pro/expert. You want to use 3 bars of topspin and 3 bars of leftspin. You will need to maintain an overadjustment of approx 10% for the drive shot.
[adinserter block=”3″]
For the second shot, you want to go for a 10% overadjustment. Aim it right and you can get an eagle in this hole of the Maple Bay 9-Hole Cup.
Maple Bay Hole #8 (Par 3)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 3 Top, 3 Left | |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 30% | |
๐ Ball | Navigator/Quasar (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Club(s) | ย Goliath (Rookie), Sniper/Guardian (Pro/Expert) |
This is also a tricky shot like the other Par 3 in the Maple Bay 9-Hole Cup because you need to play it massively downhill and you need to adjust 30% extra because of that.
The shot itself will be aimed towards the pin with about 3 bars of backspin and the sidespin to the right that you need to aim for the pin – normally also about 3 bars.
The second bounce should be on the green and this will give you, along with the backspin mentioned above, the right amount of speed when approaching the pin.
Maple Bay – Hole #9 (Par 5)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
โฉ๏ธ Spin | 3 Top, Max Right | 4 Top 2 Left |
โณ๏ธ Overadjust | 0% | 10% |
๐ Ball | Titan (Rookie), Titan, Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
๐ Club(s) | Big Dawg (Rookie), Big Dawg/Cataclysm, Sniper(Pro/Expert) | Big Dawg (Rookie), Big Dawg/Cataclysm, Sniper(Pro/Expert) |
You really want to play this one on the right side and use a Titan Ball here to get the extra power you need.
The drive is a little bit tricky because you want to use a double bounce to get over the rough, this only requires you some overpowering – if you want to do it with one single bounce you need max overpower and we all know how risky that can be ๐
When approaching the pin you want to use about 3 bars of topspin along with some serious sidespin to the left to adjust with how the ground is shaped around the green.
That’s it, good luck with this tournament and see you on the green ๐
