Riverside Tournament (September 14th, 2020)

Another Tournament is approaching for this week and it’s all about the Sunshine Glades & Glenmonarch Estate. There are lot of Par 5  holes in this, this will be interesting & challenging to play 🙂

golf clash touchdown tournament text guide sunshine glades hole 1Here we have a tricky hole in the Riverside Tournament because you think you can easily attempt the green in your drive. You’ll put yourself in a tough spot here and it’s absolutely okay if you can reach close to the green and take it from there with a wedge in your second shot.

So, bouncing over that bunker is mandatory in my opinion and you should also add some nice backspin when doing that so you will get as close to the pin as possible paired with max sidespin to the left.

I also recommend you to use a Power III ball to get the distance right to prevent using overpower and bounce with the backspin without taking any high risk.

Don’t mess around with curl here, you risk landing inside the bunker and bouncing over it, even when you end up on the fairway next to the green, will give you a nice eagle or secure birdie in the Tournament. Use only a little curl!

No matter what division you’re playing the Riverside Tournament in, the best way to approach here will always be to do a rough bump. You could technically bump it on the fairway and use enough backspin but it’s bumpy there and you might come in too hot and need to use curl.

By doing the rough bump you should place the blue ring like shown in the image above and take the adjustments I have in the table above.

Glenmonarch- Hole #3 (Par 5)

Drive Second Shot
↩ī¸ Spin 1 Bar Top & nothing else 2.5 Bar Top & 1 Right
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10 % 0%
🏐 Ball Tital & Kingmaker(Rookie) | Berserker (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) The Big Dawg (Rookie); The Thorn(Pro/Expert) The Thorn ( Rookie) & The Cataclysm(Pro)

This is an excellent hole to that gives you the highest chance to do a hole-in-one!

This is actually a nice hole to get an eagle.

With the drive you try to bounce it over the bunker on the right side to gain as much distance as possible by adding 1 bar topspin as well as no side-spin to the left or right to get a good position for the second shot where you can approach the pin directly.

In your second shot you can now approach the green but aiming for the albatross here is really difficult as the fairway slopes at the middle point giving the ball a different direction from just hitting one inch more to the right or left.

Aim a little to the right of the pin as the green slopes down towards the pin, this will be better when you want to get lucky for the albatross. Use 2.5 bars of topspin to get a perfect position here.

Glenmonarch Estate Hole #4 (Par 3)

Drive
↩ī¸ Spin 2-3 Top
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10%
🏐 Ball Marlin (Rookie/Pro), Quasar (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Viper, Big Dawg, Sniper (Rookie/Pro) Sniper (Pro/Expert)

golf clash st patricks day tournament text guide glenmonarch estate hole 8 aimThe most important thing here is that you will need 2-3 bars of topspin to make it to the pin with the rough bounce. The bounce on the fairway is the best way to play this hole in my opinion because there are so many bumpy spots on the green.

Aiming is here key and you want to aim a little but right of the pin as the green slopes down to the left a little bit (see in the image) and have your yellow ring just at the border of the fringe.

Glenmonarch Estate Hole #5 (Par 4)

Drive Second Shot
↩ī¸ Spin 3.5 Bars on Left Side ; 3 Bars on Back 3 Back Spin ; 4.5 Bars on Right Side spin
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10% (Rookie), Upcoming (Pro/Expert) 0% (Rookie)
🏐 Ball Quasar & Katana (Rookie) Upcoming(Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) The Sniper (Rookie) The Sniper (Rookie)

You want to use the left side of the fairway here and aim directly for the pin after you added the sidespin to the left and backspin as shown in the table above.

This is actually a not a easy hole in the Riverside Tournament and getting a hole-in-one is almost impossible here.

You want to use the right side of the fairway here and add backspin and right spin, as you can see in the table above.

Getting a Hole in this shot is extremely easy and you can do it if you keep the over adjustment & Spin absolutely right. Make sure, you select the right ball & club too.

Sunshine Glades – Hole #6 (Par 5)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩ī¸ Spin max Top & Medium Overpower Rough Bump: 2 Top; max Right
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10 % 0%
🏐 Ball Titan, Kingmaker (Power III required)
🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile Big Dawg

golf clash touchdown tournament text guide sunshine glades hole 9 driveThis one is the toughest Par 5 in the Riverside Tournament. The left side has a more difficult drive and can only be done with tailwind but gives you an easier approach and chance for an albatross. The right side has the easier drive and is your line if there’s no tailwind but has the more difficult approach for the green.

On the left side, you want to use 5 bars of sidespin to the right for your drive and all the top spin you have. From here you can use a wood to approach the pin and I’d recommend you to aim the second bounce to be on the fairway as well and add 0.5-1 bar of backspin.

On the right line you need to avoid the bunker and try to get as far down the fairway as possible. For your second hit you should aim right in front of the trees and add all the curl you have to make it for the green. It’s harder and an albatross is almost impossible that way but you wont have any other option without tailwind in your drive.

Glenmonarch Estate Hole #7 (Par 3)

Drive
↩ī¸ Spin 2 Top & No Side Spin
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust Minimum (20%)
🏐 Ball Marlin (Rookie) , Quasar (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) The Sniper(Rookie & Pro)

This is a pretty easy hole & you can easily do a Hole-in-one by keeping the Top Spin 2 and applying No side spin.

Dont do anything fancy here, just keep the Yellow ring by the rough & with you are good to go, This is probably the easiest hole in the Riverside Tournament.

Glenmonarch Estate Hole #8 (Par 4)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩ī¸ Spin Max Top; Max Right
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10% 0%
🏐 Ball Quasar (Rookie/Pro), Titan or Katana (Pro/Expert)
🏑 Club(s) Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) Thorn or Hornet (Rookie/Pro/Expert)

golf clash st patricks day tournament text guide glenmonarch estate hole 5 driveIn your drive you want to get as much distance as possible to get yourself into a good position for the second shot. Use all the topspin and the sidespin to the right with maximum distance to get as far down the fairway as possible.

Playing on the left side makes it a lot easier to approach the pin in your second shot and is a lot less risky to play.

golf clash st patricks day tournament text guide glenmonarch estate hole 5 second shotIn your second shot you now have the best chances to get the eagle here in the Tournament and you normally don’t need any spin at all when you can bounce on the fairway in front of the green.

This normally give you the right speed to approach the pin but you might have to use a little backspin if you get short in the drive and have a longer shot towards the green here (but never more than 1 bar backspin).

Sunshine Glades – Hole #9 (Par 5)

Drive 2nd Shot
↩ī¸ Spin 3 Top; max Right + some curl right 2 Back, max Left
â›ŗī¸ Overadjust 10 % 0%
🏐 Ball Marlin, Quasar (Power II or III)
🏑 Club(s) Quarterback Sniper or Viper

golf clash touchdown tournament text guide sunshine glades hole 3 driveAt this hole the drive will make it or break it. I recommend to ignore the left side completely and focus on bouncing the ball over the water on the second fairway and get there as much to the end and right as possible. Position the blue ring at the rough like shown in the image, that’s the best spot for the drive.

You need a Power II or better a Power III ball here and use max sidespin to the right as well. Depending on the wind you will also need to overpower you shot slightly. You will see players that try to land directly on the second island but this will not work and is a high-risk play – rather focus on wind adjustment.

golf clash touchdown tournament text guide sunshine glades hole 3 second shotFor your second shot you can approach the pin directly by bouncing on the fairway in front of the green. The green slopes down a little bit so aim about 1-2 rings ro the right of the pin to get your ball as close to it as possible and also for a decent chance to get an albatross here in the Riverside Tournament.

Good luck in the Tournament 🙂
