Redwood Cup Tournament (July 6th, 2020)
The next upcoming tournament in Golf Clash is the Redwood Cup Tournament with a brand new course – Sequoia Creek
Without wasting any more time, let’s jump right into the text guides for the Redwood Cup Tournament.

Sequoia Creek Hole #1 (Par 4)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | Max Top; Max Left | 1 Top |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 20% | 10% |
đ Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | Backbone (Rookie), Hornet (Pro/Expert), Grizzly (Pro/Expert) |
You can start the Redwood Cup Tournament off with a solid chance for an eagle without risking much in the first Par 4 by playing on the right side, which is not that difficult to play if you adjust the extra downhill with your wind adjustment. Use all topspin and some sidespin to the left and you will get yourself into a nice position.
[adinserter block=”2″]
Now you can approach the pin directly in your second shot and the best option you have here is using the rough bump or you will have problems slowing the ball down enough to not come in too hot for the pin.
With the rough bump use a small amount of topspin to get the right speed and aim straight for the pin while adjusting wind right.
Sequoia Creek Hole #2 (Par 3)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | 4 Back | |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 20% | |
đ Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Katana/Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Big Dawg (Rookie) | Sniper 4+ (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |
Technically you can use the rough bump here but the rough spot to use is very small and a small mistake can give you much trouble.
I recommend not using it and go with the fairway bounce instead and rather go with the birdie than messing up entirely here in the Redwood Cup Tournament’s 2nd hole.
Aim straight for the pin and use 4 bars or more backspin to prevent coming in too hot and you have a decent chance for the hole-in-one and a secure birdie if you miss that đ

Sequoia Creek Hole #3 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | 1-2 Back; 2 Right | Max Top + Max Overpower |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 20% | 0% |
đ Ball | Titan (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Apocalypse (Pro/Expert) | Big Dawg (Rookie(Pro/Expert), Cataclysm (Pro/Expert) |
Go with the drive on the left side, it is easier to play because you don’t have to play to the right later.
You need to use some backspin here because the fairway slopes down a lot and this will get you into the rough if you don’t slow down you ball enough. A little sidespin used as well and you have a great spot for your second shot.
[adinserter block=”4″]
You second shot is all about distance, so you the club that will do that along with a ball with good Power. Use also all topspin and max distance and all you need to do is to get to the green.
The difficult thing here is that you also need max overpower (except you have straight tailwind, than only 50% overpower). The landing spot is large so even missing the perfect shot is not a tragedy here and you have a nice chance to get an eagle here in the Redwood Cup Tournament.
Sequoia Creek Hole #4 (Par 3)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | 4+ Back; 1-2 Left | |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 10% | |
đ Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Big Dawg (Rookie) | Sniper 4+ (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Cataclysm (Pro/Expert) |
This Par 3 looks harder than it is, the fairway actually bounces the ball more towards the pin that you would expect (for whatever reason), so aiming like you can see on the image is getting you straight towards the pin.
Add some backspin and sidespin and you have a solid chance to land your hole-in-one here.
[adinserter block=”5″]
Sequoia Creek Hole #5 (Par 4)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | Max Left, Max Top | 3 Back |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 0% | 10% |
đ Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Katana (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert | |
đ Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | Backbone (Rookie), Grizzly (Pro/Expert) |
The drive can be tricky here as you need to play through the trees, which can be challenging at times. But that is your best option, otherwise you need to play around them and you will loose at least one shot here.
When using enough sidespin, you can see that you can get through the trees and gain a lot fo distance rather than laying up short here, aim precisely and you don’t need to adjust any extra for the wind!
[adinserter block=”6″]
In your second shot you can now approach the pin directly by bouncing on the fairway and aiming straight for the pin with some backspin to slow down enough to prevent coming in too hot.
Nothing special here and a good chance to get your eagle.
Sequoia Creek Hole #6 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | 2-3 Right; 3-4 Top | Max Right; 3 Top; Max Curl Right |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 20% | 10% |
đ Ball | Titan (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | Big Dawg (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Cataclysm (Pro/Expert) |
The tricky thing about this Par 5 in the Redwood Cup Tournament is that the trees will cover the right side of the green so you need to gain enough distance with your drive to pass them by and get a clean path towards the green with your second shot.
The drive is a clean perfect shot at maximum distance with some sidespin and some topspin (don’t go too hard on the topspin, you don’t want to leave the fairway!)
[adinserter block=”7″]
The second shot now requires curl to get you close to the green but you have a clean fairway part where you can bounce so missing by a little won’t break your shot, unless you really mess up đ
Use some topspin and and maximum sidespin to the right as well as maximum curl to the right and you will get close to the green and finish this Par 5 with an eagle.
Sequoia Creek Hole #7 (Par 4)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | Max Right, 2-4 Top; Some Overpower | 1-2 Back |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 20% | 10% |
đ Ball | Titan (Rookie), Kingmaker/Berserker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Apocalypse (Pro/Expert) | Thorn (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Grizzly (Pro7Expert) |
Without headwind, you want to take this approach playing on the right side.
Depending on your ball and club level, you might also need to use some overpower to not do the rough bump. The rough bump won’t kill you here but it lowers your chance to get the eagle in the end.
[adinserter block=”8″]
Now it’s time to approach the pin directly and it’s a great chance to get the eagle because you only need a little backspin and can bounce on the fairway spot in front of the green as the distance isn’t that much so you won’t have problems with coming in too hot.
Straight aim for the pin, do a little extra wind adjustment and you’re fine.
Sequoia Creek Hole #8 (Par 3)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | 1-2 Left; 1-2 Back | |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 25% | |
đ Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Katana or Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Backbone (Rookie) | Sniper 4+ (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |
You will not adjust much here expect using a little sidespin and backspin and do a double-bounce on the fairway, this will give you the right amount of speed to approach the pin.
This is actually a pretty decent Par 3 here in the Redwood Cup Tournament to get a hole-in-one without much luck when you aim right, adjust the wind right and do your perfect shot.
[adinserter block=”9″]
Sequoia Creek Hole #9 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
âŠī¸ Spin | Max Top; Max Left; 50% Curl Right | 2 Top |
âŗī¸ Overadjust | 10% | 10% |
đ Ball | Katana (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
đ Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Apocalypse (Pro/Expert) | Big Dawg (Rookie/Pro/Expert), Cataclysm (Pro/Expert) |
I like the approach of playing the left side fairway with the drive but not risking curl but doing a rough bump here to get a good spot for that second shot.
Use also some curl, like half a ball, along with maximum topspin and sidespin and you will get yourself into nice spot without risking getting into the rough.
[adinserter block=”10″]
Now you can approach the green by bouncing over the rough line and you will have a lot easier time here than playing this Par 5 on the right side where it heavily slopes.
Add a little topspin and and you will not have any problems getting ont he green and close to the pin to get the eagle here.
