Winter Major Tournament (February 17th, 2020)
Time for the first major tournament of 2020 with the Winter Major Tournament in Golf Clash – and we will get a brand new course for that, called Shiruba Springs đ
The new course will become available in Tour 5, 9 and 11 for practice starting today on Thursday so you can get a feeling for them
Or you rely on my text guide for each hole that I have here for you as always đ So, without wasting any more time let’s get into them.
Shiruba Springs Hole #1 (Par 4)

Let’s go with the first hole in the Winter Major Tournament. The challenge here is to get a nice spot with your drive so you have nice chances to approach the pin in your second shot.
You will need all the topspin you have and combine it with a nice amount of 3-5 bars of sidespin to the left to get past that small area on the fairway and then get closer towards the green. Mind the over-adjustment here.
You could play in the left side but it requires a Power II or Power III ball and don’t give much benefits for approaching the pin.
In your second shot you can now approach the pin directly and if you have The Sniper you should use it because accuracy is really useful here.
You don’t need much adjustment but you should use some backspin (see table above) to prevent coming in too hot.
If you play without backspin you will still land on the green because the fairway is going up towards the green but it will be too fast to get the ball into the hole if you approach the hole directly.

This is actually a pretty straightforward Par 3 in the Winter Major Tournament and you can aim at a spot where your ball will directly approach the pin, as you can see in the picture.
Add 4-5 bars of backspin (depending on the wind) as well as 2-3 bars of sidespin to the right. You can use any ball that gives you that sidespin.

In your drive you want as much topspin and some sidespin to the left as well as a Power III ball to reach as far down the fairway as possible when bouncing over the rough line there.
There’s no need to play the left side with curl, it won’t give you any advantage for your second shot so adkust the wind correctly and play it straight.
The second shot is now the tricky make-or-break one because you will probably be a little short, although using a wood with a lot of distance like the Big Dawg.
Here you will need to overpower your shot by a good amount to get it on the fairway and give enough topspin to get it as close to the green as possible.
If you do that right, you will have a nice attempt on the eagle or at least a very secure birdie.
If you have the Thorn or Hornet with a high volume of backspin you will have a much easier time approaching the pin directly in your 3rd shot.

Another nice Par 3 in the Winter Major Tournament that you can play pretty easily and straightforward with a little backspin and max sidespin to the right.
As soon as you have your sidespin set, find a spot where you can make the ball guideline aim directly towards the pin and take your shot.
This is actually the hole with the highest chances to get you a hole-in-one in the Winter Major Tournament.

With your drive you want to get some good amount of distance so take a solid ball and a driver that has a good distance and play straight with all the topspin you have.
No experiments here, all you can do is use a little sidespin to counter heavy sidewinds and that’s it.
This will get you into a good position for your second shot.
With your second shot you will be able to approach the pin directly and having a club with high accurracy will help here. Use a little backspin as well to prevent coming in too hot but just a little is enough (see table above).

No, it’s no typo that there’s a wood club for the drive in the table – you actually need to use a wood club for the drive because that’s the best way to start this Par 5 in the Winter Major Tournament.
This will give you a shortcut over playing to the right side and you can get closer to the green in your second shot and get a better chance to approach the pin for the eagle.
So, your second shot can now bring you very close to the green and it depends a little bit how far you have come down the fairway in your drive. Again, you will use the wood club here and add all the topspin and all the sidespin to the left.
You might need to add either a lot of curl or bounce it into the rough and let it roll out.
You have to get a little creative here and then you can easily score the eagle in your third shot đ

I like to play this with the version of laying the ball to the right side, it’s easier and your approach on the pin in your second shot gets easier as well.
For that use a driver with a good backspin and let it bounce over the rough spot and securely let it roll on the fairway there.
The second shot now is a rough bump but it’s actually an easy one. You can see in the image where to find that spot and you only need to add some sidespin so you can securely approach the pin directly – I recommend you to aim for the center of that small rough island there to have some space if you don’t adjust the wind correctly (mind that you need to add 25% because it’s a lot downhill)!

Okay, we have gotten two easy Par 3 in the Winter Major Tournament so far so it’s time for a difficult one, right? Yes, it’s a d difficult one this time.
The wind is pretty hard to calculate here when it comes to get your backspin right. With this setting you will get close to the pin, but a hole-in-one is actually pretty hard to get because when the backspin fires off the sidespin will adjust with it and you will miss the hole.
Anyway, you can’t mess up badly here and still get the birdie.

Alright, the last hole in the Winter Major Tournament 2020 and it’s also a Par 5.
The difficult part here is to bounce over the rough spot here so you need all the topspin you can get.
Also, playing with a lot of topspin can help you out if you fall short and you still might roll out of the rough but be very careful here with your drive – it’s the make-or-break.
In your second shot you also won’t have an easy shot and you need again full topspin to make it and add max overpower and also max curl to the left with it. Sounds crazy? Yes. But this is the way how you can get next to the green in your second shot and the best way to do it is to bounce into the rough and roll out with that much power.
