Frosty Peaks Tournament (December 7th, 2020)
It’s that time of the year when everything is about snow, ice, and frost. So, why should Golf Clash be any exception? After the last tournament got us in the right mood for the holiday season we will see the next tournament, the Frosty Peaks Tournament.
The holes in the Frosty Peaks Tournament are on a course called Grünberg Slopes. Read on to find the details of each hole in this in-depth text guide.

Grünberg Slopes – Hole #1 (Par 4)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | Max Top, 2 Right | 3 Down |
⛳️ Overadjust | 10% | 10% |
🏐 Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Kingmaker, Katana (Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | Thorn, Hornet (Rookie) | Thorn, Hornet, Falcon (Pro/Expert) |
The first hole comes in quite easy and shouldn’t be a big problem to get an eagle here in the Frosty Peaks Tournament. The important thing here is actually that you have a short iron with a very good amount of backspin and you can play this risk-free.
In your drive, you want to gain as much distance without overpowering by using all the topspin you have along with all sidespin to the right.
This will settle you on a point where you then can play the second shot to go directly for the pin. As I mentioned, if you have a short iron like the Thorn you can also bounce directly on the green and this makes it quite easy to approach the pin directly.
Grünberg Slopes – Hole #2 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | 2 Left | 3 Back |
⛳️ Overadjust | 10% | 30% |
🏐 Ball | Titan (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | Sniper, Viper (Rookie) | Sniper, Viper (Pro/Expert) |
This is also a fairly easy Par 5 hole in the Frosty Peaks Tournament when played right. The “secret sauce” is not bouncing over the rough in the drive and use at least a Power III ball so you can bounce it directly on the second fairway using all the topspin and sidespin to the left that you can give.
Stay away from the right side unless the wind is really unfortunate and you don’t have a good ball to play – the right side will get you into a whole lot of trouble when approaching the green in your second shot!
From this spot, you can approach the pin directly. The green is downhill so use at least 3 bars of backspin. This will get you in the best position to get the eagle now but you also have a nice chance to actually go for the albatross here as well.
Keep in mind that this is downhill big time so you need to over-adjust when adjusting the wind by about 25% (means instead of adjusting e.g. 2 rings for wind you will adjust 2.5 rings)
Grünberg Slopes – Hole #3 (Par 3)
Drive | ||
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | 1-3 Back, Max Left | |
⛳️ Overadjust | 20% | |
🏐 Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Kingmaker (Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | Viper (Rookie) | Sniper (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |
This hole here is extremely hard to get a hole-in-one at so rather play it safe for the birdie than risking too much.
You play downhill here as well so make sure you do adjust about 20% extra when adjusting the wind.
I’d recommend you to use either a Sniper or Viper because the accuracy will make a huge difference here.
You can see in the image how you should aim before wind adjustment but here’s also all the backspin to the right already added. Depending on the wind you should use 1-3 bars of backspin (1 with a headwind, 2 with sidewind only and 3 bars with a tailwind).

↩️ Spin | 2 Right | |

🏑 Club(s) | Big Topper (Rookie), Thors Hammer (Pro/expert) |
The next Par 4 in the Frosty Peaks Tournament in Golf Clash and there are two different ways to play this, depending on the division.
Rookie
There’s no way you’re going to make it over the bunker and the rough on the left lane from the first tee without doing any crazy hero move. For that reason focus on the right lane.
Use all topspin and sidespin to the left for your drive to reach as far down the fairway as possible without having to overpower your shot.
If you’ve reached far enough down the fairway you can directly approach the pin now and there’s a decent chance that you will make that eagle happen.
Be aware that you will play your second shot massively downhill so add about 25% extra to your wind adjustment and if you aim like shown in the image you can actually play this without any spin and it should come in with the right speed to approach the pin.
Pro/Expert
Playing from the second or third tee makes it possible that you can actually bounce that bunker and rough on the left lane because the ball will bounce further and you can get a lot closer to the green and maximize your chances to get your eagle in this hole of the Grünberg Slopes.
Grünberg Slopes – Hole #5 (Par 3)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | 4 Top, 2 Right | Max Back |
⛳️ Overadjust | 10% | 10% |
🏐 Ball | Marlin (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | The Big Dawg, The Thor, (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |

This Par 3 here is actually a nice chance to get a hole-in-one in the Frosty Peaks Tournament as there’s not much you need to do other than adjusting the wind right and hitting a perfect shot 🙂
So, you should aim here and without any spin aim directly for the pin. That’s it.
When you’re adjusting the wind you really want to add 10% extra wind adjustment just to make sure that playing downhill will not mess up your shot.
Grünberg Slopes – Hole #6 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | 4 Top, 2 Right | Max Back |
⛳️ Overadjust | 10% | 10% |
🏐 Ball | Marlin (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | The Big Dawg, The Thor, (Rookie/Pro/Expert) |
This is a very long hole and getting more than an eagle here is pretty much a miracle.
You want to play the drive on the right side simply because getting the ball correctly on the left side is pretty tough and it will put you in a spot where you need a ton of curl to theoretically be able to approach the pin in your second shot. So rather play it safe.
As I said, play the right side and use all the topspin and also sidespin to the right that you have to stay on the fairway. Again, you’re playing downhill here in your drive as well so adding 10% extra to wind adjustment is also important.
Your second shot needs to make some distance and you need a club like the Big Dawg now. Aim it and use topspin, sidespin and some curl to get as close to the green as possible.
This is not the make-or-break moment at this hole because if the distance is too high you only have small chances to actually get the eagle – but most other players will have that problem as well 😉
Grünberg Slopes – Hole #7 (Par 3)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | ||
⛳️ Overadjust | 0% | 10% |
🏐 Ball | Navigator (Rookie), Kingmaker, Wind 5 (Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | Sniper/Viper (Rookie), Quarterback, The Rock (Pro/Expert) |
This hole has probably the best view you can have in any hole in Golf Clash looking at this castle on the snow mountain. But we’re here to play golf, right? 😉
Okay, this Par 3 is actually really tricky to play in the Christmas Tournament and it requires to play a rough bump actually. But in this case, it’s a fairly easy rough bump and gives us the opportunity to fail a little bit and still walk away with the birdie.
So, aim straight for the pin in the middle of the rough spot in front of the green and add about 1 bar of backspin (headwind), 2 bars (sidewind) and 3 bars of backspin (tailwind) to prevent coming in too hot.
Grünberg Slopes – Hole #8 (Par 4)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | Max Left, 3 Top | 3 Back |
⛳️ Overadjust | 15% | 30% |
🏐 Ball | Quasar (Rookie), Kingmaker, Katana, Titan (Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | Backbone (Rookie), Grizzly, B52 (Pro/Expert) |
This hole here is massively downhill with a really weird looking fairway for the drive.
I’d recommend you to play on the left side because it will give you a much better position for your second shot and also the fairway there seems a lot more consistent so you will prevent any surprises.
You need to add about 10-15% extra adjustment for the wind because it’s downhill and use all the sidespin to the left you have but no topspin or backspin at all.
For the second shot, you will have a huge drop so you need to add at least 25% extra for wind adjustment or you can easily mess that up.
You won’t need any additional spin but you need to make sure that you bounce it twice on the fairway to make sure that you come in with right speed to approach the pin directly or at least get close to the pin on the green for the birdie.
Grünberg Slopes Hole #9 (Par 5)
Drive | 2nd Shot | |
---|---|---|
↩️ Spin | Max Top; Max Left | 3-4 Back |
⛳️ Overadjust | 10% | 5% |
🏐 Ball | Titan (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | |
🏑 Club(s) | Extra Mile (Rookie/Pro/Expert) | Sniper (Rookie/Pro7Expert) |
This is the last hole of the Extreme Hills Tournament and it’s actually a fairly easy one.
In your drive you want to gain as much distance as possible by also using a Power II ball and using all the topspin and sidespin to the right that you have – otherwise you will end up with the trees in your way and this means goodbye to a great below par here.
You also play a little bit downhill here but I haven’t done any extra adjustment for that to be honest.
[adinserter block=”10″]
Your second shot then will approach the green directly and depending on the spot you landed your drive this can require some curl as well if there’s not enough sidespin available.
I also recommend you to use about 3-4 bars of backspin to not come in too hot and with the curl it can be tricky sometimes.
